Basic requirements for scaffolding construction

1. The construction, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding are all considered high-altitude operations above 2 meters, and the regulations for high-altitude operations should be strictly followed.

2. Personnel engaged in the construction, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding must be familiar with the basic technical knowledge related to scaffolding and hold a certificate to work.

3. The construction, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding should be avoided as much as possible at night. If night work is necessary, there should be sufficient lighting on site, and the height of scaffolding erected at night should not exceed the second level high-altitude operation standard (below 15m).

4. For large scaffolding, suspended scaffolding, and scaffolding with special requirements exceeding 25m, a person in charge system shall be implemented. Each scaffold shall have a dedicated person responsible for daily inspection and maintenance to prevent human damage.

When there are strong winds of level 6 or above, heavy rain, snow, or fog, scaffolding installation and dismantling work should be stopped.

6. When setting up or dismantling scaffolding, fences and warning signs should be set up on the ground, and a dedicated person should be assigned to guard. Non operators are strictly prohibited from entering.

7. Excavation work shall not be carried out on the scaffold foundation and its adjacent areas.

8. All personnel working on scaffolding must wear protective helmets, fasten protective belts, and wear non slip shoes. It is strictly prohibited to work under the influence of alcohol.

9. According to the specific environment on site, prominent signs and signal flags (lights) should be set up on the outside and top of the scaffold to prevent passing vehicles and cranes from colliding with the scaffold during operation.

10. When using a soft ladder for construction in equipment such as two devices, necessary measures should be taken to prevent falling, and there should be a dedicated person to supervise.
